AI-suggested
A patch is available and has been applied in Linux kernel versions 7.0.0-1014.14~24.04.1 and later. Users should upgrade to these fixed versions or later to remediate the issue. No additional mitigation actions are required beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A memory leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mlx5 network driver was fixed. The flaw caused a leak of mlx5_st_idx_data structures when workloads repeatedly allocated and released mkeys with TPH steering-tag hints, leading to growing memory usage over time. The issue was due to the failure to free the mlx5_st_idx_data allocation after removing the ST table entry. This has been corrected to properly free the memory, preventing the leak.
