An official fix is available and should be applied. The vendor advisory confirms that the issue has been resolved in updated Linux kernel versions. Users should update to patched kernel versions to remediate this vulnerability.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's irqchip/ts4800 driver was fixed to address missing cleanup of a chained interrupt handler during driver removal. The flaw could cause a dangling interrupt handler to be called after the driver is removed, potentially leading to kernel crashes due to access of freed memory. The fix involves saving the parent interrupt identifier, clearing the chained handler on removal, and properly disposing of interrupt mappings to prevent resource leaks.
