Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: Botslab
Product: G980H

Description

The Botslab G980H dash camera firmware includes sensitive configuration information, including WiFi credentials, in diagnostic logs generated during the support process. Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-82716 describes a vulnerability in the Botslab G980H dash camera firmware where sensitive configuration details such as WiFi credentials are included in diagnostic logs generated during support. These logs are stored on removable storage and remain accessible after the support process completes. An unauthenticated attacker with physical access to the storage media could extract these logs and obtain sensitive device information. The vulnerability is identified as CWE-532 (Insertion of sensitive information into log file).

Potential Impact

Exposure of sensitive configuration information, including WiFi credentials, to an unauthenticated attacker with physical access to the device's removable storage. This could lead to unauthorized access to the device or network if the credentials are reused or provide further attack vectors. There is no indication of remote exploitation or active exploitation in the wild.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official patch or fix is currently available for this vulnerability. Since the vulnerability requires physical access to removable storage, restricting physical access to the device and its storage media is a primary mitigation. Monitor vendor advisories for any future updates or patches addressing this issue.
