AI-suggested

Users should restrict access to trusted authenticated users only and monitor for updates from Cinnamon AI. Since this is an authorization flaw, applying proper access control checks on conversation ownership before allowing read, rename, delete, or overwrite operations is necessary once a fix is released.

Description

Cinnamon AI Kotaemon up to version 0.12.0 has multiple authorization vulnerabilities in its multi-user chat interface. Four handler methods fail to verify that the requesting user owns the conversation record they are accessing. This flaw allows any authenticated user to read, rename, delete, or overwrite chat conversations belonging to other users without proper authorization.
