This issue has been fixed in the Linux kernel. Users and administrators should update to a fixed kernel version containing the patches identified by the provided commit hashes. No additional mitigation is required once the fix is applied.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's arm_scmi firmware component involves improper cleanup of mailbox channels during setup failures. Specifically, if the mailbox_chan_setup() function successfully acquires a primary P2A channel but fails to acquire an additional receiver channel, it returns an error without releasing the primary channel. This can leave the channel busy and unavailable for subsequent probe attempts. The issue has been fixed by ensuring the primary mailbox channel is properly unwound on error.
