AI-suggested

This issue has been fixed in the Linux kernel. Users should update to the fixed versions identified by the commits fbaebd380caa4e1cec9306ca00231da6518a123f, de0a4c103740cf54cf77370d47e03c9aa51aa5ee, d72e7e5f24687c0490aabf317653caffe0447aeb, d7c60c0fe2bd452b56fe07947842d64da61b7290, and ae7980c9af698d0a7e6790d49249abc71f0fc304. Applying these updates will ensure proper cleanup of transport channels and prevent resource leaks.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's arm_scmi firmware component involves improper cleanup of transport channels when an IDR insertion fails. The error path destroys the transport device and frees channel info without invoking the transport cleanup callback, potentially leading to resource leaks. The issue is fixed by ensuring chan_free() is called before device destruction to release resources like IRQs, mailbox channels, and shared memory properly.
