Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Qualcomm GENI serial DMA transmit completion path could cause new data written to the transmit FIFO to be discarded due to stale DMA completion handling. This occurs when uart_flush_buffer() resets the transmit FIFO after hardware DMA completion but before the DMA completion interrupt is handled, causing the transmit FIFO to advance incorrectly and discard new bytes. The issue has been fixed by marking in-flight DMA transfers as stale when the transmit FIFO is flushed, preventing advancement of the FIFO by stale completions.
