A fix is available and has been committed to the Linux kernel. Users and maintainers should update to the fixed kernel versions to ensure proper cleanup of jack work items during device removal. No additional mitigation actions are necessary as the patch addresses the issue directly.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ASoC rt700-sdw driver involves improper draining of jack work items during device removal. The driver incorrectly uses a hardware initialization state bit as a guard to cancel delayed work, which can lead to work items remaining active after removal. This issue was identified through static analysis and manual code review and fixed by ensuring unconditional cancellation of these work items during removal.
