AI-suggested

A fix is available and has been committed to the Linux kernel. Users should update to the fixed kernel version 6.15 or later containing the patch identified by commits f1b7b2c7ffa9711d1298f52790b377fe02efc1db, 84646f5b945a370f6999eed59a334387b0abc282, and 87a1805b1c346b092c34f96f3806f207792910e1. No additional mitigation is required once the system is updated.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's fsl-imx8mq-usb PHY driver caused a resource leak of the typec switch on probe error paths. This occurred because the cleanup code was only executed during driver removal, which does not run if the probe fails. The issue is fixed by using devm_add_action_or_reset() to ensure proper cleanup on both probe failure and driver removal.
