Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's XFS filesystem affects the exchange of reflink flags during full-file range exchanges. The flaw occurs when the XFS_EXCHMAPS_INO1_WRITTEN flag is set, causing the reflink inode flag to be incorrectly cleared from an inode that still owns shared written extents. This can lead to data corruption between reflink-related files due to improper write handling. The issue is fixed by disabling reflink flag exchange when this flag is set, ensuring both inodes retain the reflink flag until it can be safely cleared.
