AI-suggested
A fix for this vulnerability is available and should be applied by updating the Linux kernel to a patched version. Since this is a kernel-level issue, upgrading to a fixed kernel release is the recommended remediation.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's scsi mpi3mr driver causes a NULL pointer dereference due to missing NULL checks after memory allocation failure in sas_port_alloc_num(). This can lead to a denial of service via kernel crash. Additionally, a memory leak occurs if sas_port_add() fails because the allocated port is not freed properly.
