Description
CVE-2026-98262 addresses a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AHCI driver where certain registers (PxCLBU and PxFBU) were not properly cleared when the AHCI_HFLAG_32BIT_ONLY flag was set. This caused issues with JMicron JMB585 controllers, making them unusable due to improper handling of 32-bit DMA addressing. The fix involves explicitly clearing these registers to zero to comply with the AHCI specification for 32-bit only devices.
