A fix for this vulnerability is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel source. Users and administrators should update to the fixed kernel versions identified by the provided commit hashes to remediate this issue. No additional mitigation steps are indicated or required beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's BPF subsystem was fixed to prevent an out-of-bounds read of the sk_protocol field in the bpf_sock_destroy() function. The issue arose because sk_protocol is part of struct sock, but the code incorrectly accessed it from a pointer that could reference other socket types, leading to a memory read beyond the intended object. This flaw was addressed by ensuring sk_protocol is only checked on full socket objects, avoiding invalid memory access.
