Description

CVE-2026-98469 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's KVM module for arm64 architecture. It involves incorrect handling of the AArch32 DBGBXVR<n> register, which causes a kernel bug and crashes the virtual machine when accessed by an AArch32 guest. The issue was introduced by a change in breakpoint and watchpoint register accessors that mishandled certain Op2 values. This flaw has been fixed in specific Linux kernel commits.
