AI-suggested
Apply the official patches by upgrading Django to version 5.0.8 or later, or 4.2.15 or later. These versions contain fixes that address the denial-of-service vulnerability in the urlize() and urlizetrunc() template filters. No other mitigations are indicated by the vendor advisory.
Description
Django versions 5.0 prior to 5.0.8 and 4.2 prior to 4.2.15 contain a vulnerability in the urlize() and urlizetrunc() template filters that can be exploited to cause a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. This occurs when processing very large inputs containing a specific sequence of characters. The issue has been fixed in versions 5.0.8 and 4.2.15.
