AI-suggested

A fix is available in FreeRDP version 3.32.2. Users and administrators should upgrade to version 3.32.2 or later to remediate this vulnerability. No other mitigation or workaround is specified.

Description

FreeRDP versions prior to 3.32.2 have a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the RD Gateway RPC client. The issue arises because the client writes certain RPC fragments into a persistent PDU stream after only checking total capacity, not the remaining capacity from the current stream position. This flaw allows a malicious or compromised RD Gateway to send specially crafted RPC fragments that can overwrite client heap memory, potentially causing a crash or arbitrary code execution.
