A fix is available in version 10.0.9 Patch 2 or later. Users should upgrade to this version to remediate the vulnerability. Since the product is not a cloud service, manual patching is required. No alternative mitigations are specified.

Description

GFI KerioConnect Outlook Connector (Offline Edition) versions before 10.0.9 Patch 2 have a local privilege escalation vulnerability due to weak installer permissions. This allows a local non-administrative user to replace a service binary that runs with SYSTEM privileges, leading to arbitrary code execution with elevated rights.
