Description
Icinga 2 versions from 2.8 up to but not including 2.14.9, 2.15.4, and 2.16.2 contain a vulnerability in the certificate update JSON-RPC message handling. The flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access to TCP port 5665 to replace the node certificate and trusted CA certificate. This enables impersonation of a trusted node and full control over the node. The issue is fixed in versions 2.14.9, 2.15.4, and 2.16.2.
