AI-suggested

Apply the official security update provided by Red Hat to upgrade Redis to version 6.2.20-1.el9_6 or later. This update addresses the integer overflow and related Lua script vulnerabilities. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the vendor's patch.

Description

Redis versions prior to 6.2.20-1.el9_6 contain a vulnerability in the Lua library commands that may lead to integer overflow and potential remote code execution (CVE-2025-46817). This security update addresses this issue along with other Lua-related vulnerabilities. The flaw allows authenticated users to potentially execute arbitrary code via crafted Lua scripts. Red Hat has released a security advisory with an important severity rating and a fixed package version 6.2.20-1.el9_6.
