A fix is available in Checkmk version 2.5.0p16 and later. Users should upgrade to 2.5.0p16 or a newer version to eliminate the exposure of the NetApp login password in the command line. No other mitigation or workaround is indicated in the available data.
Description
In Checkmk versions prior to 2.5.0p16, the NetApp ONTAP special agent runs with the login password visible in the command line. This allows a local user on the Checkmk server to read the NetApp login password from the process list while the agent is running, affecting both explicitly configured passwords and those stored in the password store.
