Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-108645 describes a missing authorization vulnerability in JeecgBoot through version 3.9.5 within the SysCategoryController. Authenticated users with low privileges can exploit this flaw by sending POST or PUT requests to the /sys/category/edit endpoint, supplying a node ID to modify category dictionary nodes. This unauthorized modification can change classification values system-wide, potentially impacting form data that relies on these categories. The vulnerability is classified under CWE-862 (Missing Authorization).
Potential Impact
The vulnerability allows low-privileged authenticated users to alter system-wide category dictionary nodes, which can affect classification values used in various forms. While it does not directly impact confidentiality or availability, it results in integrity loss by enabling unauthorized modification of critical system data.
Mitigation Recommendations
Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the /sys/category/edit endpoint to trusted users only and monitor for unauthorized modification attempts.
