Technical Analysis
The vulnerability in JeecgBoot through version 3.9.5 is due to missing authorization checks in the putCancelQuit handler of the SysUserController component. Authenticated users can exploit this flaw by providing user IDs and a tenantId parameter or X-Tenant-Id header to revert tenant membership statuses such as ended, pending, or refused back to normal. This bypasses intended access controls and allows unauthorized modification of tenant membership states.
Potential Impact
The vulnerability allows low-privileged authenticated users to escalate their privileges by restoring tenant memberships that should have been ended, pending, or refused. This could lead to unauthorized access or continuation of access within the system. The CVSS score of 4.3 reflects a medium severity with limited impact on confidentiality and availability but some impact on integrity.
Mitigation Recommendations
No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the putCancelQuit handler to only authorized users and monitor for suspicious use of this functionality if possible.
