Description

JeecgBoot versions through 3.9.5 have a missing authorization vulnerability in the SysAnnouncementController's editIzTop handler. This flaw allows low-privileged authenticated users to change the pin status of system announcements, enabling them to pin or unpin notices displayed at the top for all users. The vulnerability can be exploited via POST or PUT requests with any announcement ID. The CVSS score is 4.3, indicating medium severity.

Technical Analysis

The vulnerability in JeecgBoot up to version 3.9.5 is due to missing authorization checks in the SysAnnouncementController's editIzTop handler. This allows authenticated users with low privileges to manipulate the pin status of system announcements by sending crafted POST or PUT requests with arbitrary announcement IDs. The flaw impacts the integrity of system notices but does not affect confidentiality or availability.

Potential Impact

An attacker with low-level authentication can alter the pin status of system announcements, potentially causing misleading or unauthorized notices to be prominently displayed to all users. There is no impact on confidentiality or availability according to the CVSS vector.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. No official fix or patch links are provided in the available data. Until a patch is available, restrict access to the affected handler or monitor for unauthorized changes if possible.
