Technical Analysis

The vulnerability in JeecgBoot up to version 3.9.5 is due to missing authorization checks on the revertRecycleBin API endpoint. Low-privileged authenticated users can exploit this by sending PUT requests to /airag/prompts/revertRecycleBin with specific template IDs, which clears the deleted flags on AI prompt templates. This effectively allows them to restore deleted templates without proper permissions, bypassing administrative removal controls.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability does not impact confidentiality or availability but allows integrity compromise by enabling unauthorized restoration of deleted AI prompt templates. This could lead to the reintroduction of unwanted or malicious templates that administrators intended to remove.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official patch or vendor advisory is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the revertRecycleBin endpoint to trusted users only and monitor for unauthorized use of this API.
