MAL-2026-10016: Malicious code in qlkube (npm)
--- _-= Per source details. The destination is a Burp Suite Collaborator subdomain used for out-of-band interaction confirmation; contacting it on install confirms code execution on the installer's machine and leaks the installer's public IP and DNS resolver via the OOB callback. The package has no legitimate functionality (index.js is a stub), consistent with a dependency-confusion probe or targeted exploitation payload against an internal package name. ## Source: ghsa-malware (67d812b4e6afa96229983750093435fa1dea4002fd3afe374d61cfd7a8090ecd) Any computer that has this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised. All secrets and keys stored on that computer should be rotated immediately from a different computer. The package should be removed, but as full control of the computer may have been given to an outside entity, there is no guarantee that removing the package will remove all malicious software resulting from installing it.
