AI-suggested
A fix is available in Netpbm versions 10.86.51, 11.02.30, and 11.15.08 and later. Users should upgrade to these or later versions to remediate the vulnerability. No other mitigation or workaround is indicated.
Description
Netpbm versions before 10.86.51, 11.x before 11.02.30, and 11.03 before 11.15.08 contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the picttoppm utility's scanPoly() function. This flaw occurs when processing a crafted PICT file with polygon edges exceeding 5000 points, which can overflow the coordinate stack array, potentially causing a crash or arbitrary code execution.
