Description

A Brazilian Magecart group, active since 2024, conducted a supply chain attack by injecting a card skimmer into the Plausible analytics script of Brazilian ecommerce platform Convertr. Starting October 24, 2026, all Convertr checkouts loaded the malicious tracker from analytics.convertr.app.br, stealing card details, CVV, expiry dates, cardholder names, and CPF taxpayer numbers from shoppers. The stolen data was exfiltrated to 1x0.is. The attackers exploited CVE-2026-8467, a critical vulnerability in Plausible Community Edition versions 3.0.0 through 3.2.0, which allowed command execution through an exposed component. Convertr removed the skimmer and patched Plausible on October 27. This group has targeted dozens of Brazilian stores running Magento, OpenCart, and WooCommerce since 2024, using distinctive techniques including pipe-delimited data exfiltration and Portuguese-named endpoints.
