Until a fix is available, users should review their OAuthLib usage of the device code grant and consider additional validation of the device_code parameter or restrict client types allowed to use the device workflow. Monitoring for updates from OAuthLib and duplicity maintainers is recommended.
Description
OAuthLib contains a vulnerability in its implementation of the OAuth 2.0 device authorization grant (RFC 8628). The token endpoint does not validate the device_code parameter, allowing an attacker who knows a valid client ID for a public client enabled for the device workflow to obtain a bearer token without a valid device_code. This affects versions of duplicity using OAuthLib from 3.0.5 onward.
