AI-suggested

Upgrade pyasn1 to version 0.8.03, 3.1.0_2, or later where the vulnerability is fixed. As a workaround, limit the size of untrusted ASN.1 inputs before decoding to reduce risk of exploitation.

Description

A vulnerability in pyasn1's BER/CER/DER decoders and encoders causes quadratic time complexity when processing OBJECT IDENTIFIER and RELATIVE-OID values with many arcs. This can lead to denial of service by consuming excessive CPU resources when decoding or encoding crafted ASN.1 data. The issue affects multiple pyasn1 versions prior to 0.8.03 and 3.1.0_2 and is fixed in these versions.
