Upgrade Pillow to version 12.3.0 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation is indicated or required.

Description

Pillow versions from 8.2.0 through 12.2.0 contain a vulnerability in the JPEG2000 decoding component where total_component_width is incorrectly accumulated across every tile instead of being recomputed per tile. This flaw allows a crafted tiled JPEG2000 image to cause excessive transient memory usage, potentially leading to out-of-memory failures during image decoding. The issue is resolved in version 12.3.0.
