Upgrade to psutils version 3.3.14_4 or later, which includes the fix for this vulnerability. If immediate upgrade is not possible, apply the changes from pull request #3610 on the pypdf GitHub repository as a temporary workaround.
Description
A vulnerability in psutils' pypdf component allows an attacker to craft a PDF that triggers an infinite loop when processing outlines or bookmarks. This flaw can cause denial of service by making the application hang. The issue has been fixed in pypdf version 6.6.2. Users unable to upgrade immediately can apply the changes from the referenced pull request as a workaround.
