AI-suggested
Red Hat has released an update for BIND 9 that addresses all listed vulnerabilities. Users of affected Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.8 variants should apply the provided security update as detailed in the Red Hat advisory (RHSA-2026:95478) to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patch.
Description
Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified and fixed in the Berkeley Internet Name Domain (BIND) software, an implementation of DNS protocols. These include memory exhaustion, denial of service, DNSSEC validation bypass, cache poisoning, unexpected server exits, and arbitrary code execution. The issues affect BIND 9 server components and involve crafted DNS messages, DNSSEC replies, and GSS-TSIG UDP message replay. Red Hat has released an important security update addressing these vulnerabilities along with bug fixes and enhancements.
