Description

A security vulnerability (CVE-2024-3049) exists in the Booth cluster ticket manager component used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux High Availability. The flaw allows a specially crafted hash to cause the Booth server to accept an invalid HMAC, potentially undermining the authorization mechanism that ensures resources run at only one granted site at a time. This vulnerability affects multiple Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 variants with High Availability and Resilient Storage. Red Hat has issued an important security update to address this issue.
