AI-suggested
Red Hat has released updated httpd packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 Extended Update Support that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the provided security updates as detailed in Red Hat advisory RHSA-2025:14903 and the associated knowledge base article (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patches.
Description
Red Hat has issued a moderate severity security advisory for the Apache HTTP Server (httpd) packages addressing three vulnerabilities in the mod_ssl module. These include insufficient escaping of user-supplied data (CVE-2024-47252), an access control bypass via TLS 1.3 session resumption (CVE-2025-23048), and an HTTP session hijack through a TLS upgrade (CVE-2025-49812). The advisory applies to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 Extended Update Support and related variants. Updated packages are available to remediate these issues.
