Red Hat has released updated httpd packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 and its extended update support versions that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the provided security updates promptly following Red Hat's published guidance at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patches.
Description
Red Hat has issued a moderate severity security advisory for the Apache HTTP Server (httpd) packages addressing multiple vulnerabilities in the mod_ssl module. These include insufficient escaping of user-supplied data (CVE-2024-47252), an access control bypass via TLS 1.3 session resumption (CVE-2025-23048), and an HTTP session hijack vulnerability through a TLS upgrade (CVE-2025-49812). The advisory applies to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 and its extended update support versions. Updates are available to remediate these issues.
