AI-suggested
Red Hat has released updated libXi packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 to address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as described in the Red Hat advisory (RHSA-2026:93438) and the referenced article https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official update.
Description
Two security vulnerabilities in the X.Org X11 libXi runtime library allow arbitrary code execution via an oversized DEVICE_ENABLE reply and a DEVICE_RESOLUTION heap-based buffer overflow. These issues affect Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 across multiple architectures. Red Hat has issued an important security advisory with updates to address these flaws.
