AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated libXi packages that fix these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update available in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 as described in the Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:93439 and the update instructions at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. Applying these official patches is the recommended mitigation. No additional mitigations or workarounds are indicated in the advisory.

Description

Two security vulnerabilities have been identified in the X.Org X11 libXi runtime library affecting Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. These vulnerabilities allow arbitrary code execution via an oversized DEVICE_ENABLE reply and a DEVICE_RESOLUTION heap-based buffer overflow. Red Hat has issued an important security advisory and released updated libXi packages to address these issues.
