AI-suggested
Red Hat has released updated libxml2 packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as detailed in the Red Hat advisory (RHSA-2026:93473) to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patches.
Description
Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified and fixed in the libxml2 library used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4. These include stack and heap-based buffer overflows, use-after-free conditions, integer overflow leading to data integrity issues, arbitrary code execution, denial of service, information disclosure, and SSRF. The issues affect various components such as xmllint, xmlcatalog, xmlSnprintfElements, xmlXPtrEval, and Python bindings. Red Hat has released an important security update addressing these vulnerabilities.
