Description
MUNGE is an authentication service used in HPC cluster environments to create and validate credentials within a security realm defined by a shared cryptographic key. A buffer overflow vulnerability in MUNGE's message unpacking process (CVE-2026-25506) allows key leakage and credential forgery. This vulnerability affects Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 and related distributions. Red Hat has released security updates to address this issue.
