AI-suggested
Red Hat has released updated nginx 1.24 packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 Extended Update Support that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as detailed in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate these issues. No additional mitigations are specified beyond applying the official update.
Description
Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified in the nginx 1.24 module used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 Extended Update Support. These include denial of service and potential code execution via specially crafted MP4 files, buffer overflow leading to denial of service or file modification in the ngx_http_dav_module, memory corruption causing denial of service via crafted MP4 files, and denial of service via undisclosed requests when the ngx_mail_auth_http_module is enabled. Red Hat has issued an important security advisory with updates addressing these issues.
