AI-suggested
Red Hat has released updated nginx 1.24 packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as detailed in the Red Hat advisory (RHSA-2026:6907) to remediate the issues. No additional mitigations are specified or required beyond applying the official patches.
Description
Multiple security vulnerabilities affecting nginx 1.24 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 have been addressed in an important security update. These include denial of service and potential code execution via specially crafted MP4 files, buffer overflow leading to denial of service or file modification in the ngx_http_dav_module, memory corruption causing denial of service via crafted MP4 files, and denial of service via undisclosed requests when the ngx_mail_auth_http_module is enabled. The update mitigates these issues by applying patches to the affected modules.
