AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated nginx 1.26 packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.6 Extended Update Support and related variants that fix these vulnerabilities. Users should apply these official updates promptly to remediate the security issues. For detailed update instructions, refer to Red Hat's advisory and article at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No additional mitigations or workarounds are specified in the advisory.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified and fixed in the nginx 1.26 module for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.6. These include denial of service and potential code execution via specially crafted MP4 files, buffer overflow leading to denial of service or file modification in the ngx_http_dav_module, memory corruption causing denial of service via crafted MP4 files, and denial of service via undisclosed requests when the ngx_mail_auth_http_module is enabled. The update addresses these issues to improve the security of nginx deployments on affected Red Hat platforms.
