AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated perl-DBI packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and its extended life cycle variants that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply these official updates as detailed in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate the issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the vendor-provided patches.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified in the perl-DBI module, a database access API for the Perl language. These include heap overflows during SQL preparsing, buffer overflow in error handling, and arbitrary code execution via a caller-influenced Profile attribute. These flaws can lead to denial of service or arbitrary code execution. Red Hat has issued an important security advisory with updates to address these issues for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and its extended life cycle variants.
