What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated python-urllib3 packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.6 Extended Update Support that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the updates as described in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate these issues. Since official fixes are available, applying the vendor-provided updates is the recommended mitigation.

Description

Two security vulnerabilities were addressed in the python-urllib3 package for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.6 Extended Update Support. The first is a denial of service vulnerability caused by excessive HTTP response decompression (CVE-2026-44432). The second is an information disclosure vulnerability due to cross-origin redirects forwarding sensitive headers (CVE-2026-44431). These issues have been fixed in updated package versions provided by Red Hat.
