AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated util-linux packages addressing these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as described in the Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:93461. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patch. The vendor manages remediation through these updates.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified and fixed in the util-linux package used by Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. These include time-of-check to time-of-use (TOCTOU) race conditions in the mount program, a heap use-after-free in libblkid nested partition probing, privilege bypasses, information leaks, and an integer overflow in the DOS partition parser. The issues affect critical low-level system utilities necessary for Linux system operation.
