Since the vulnerability involves improper encoding of user input, remediation should focus on implementing proper output encoding and input validation in the user search function. If you cannot patch yet, users should exercise caution when interacting with the user search feature and avoid clicking suspicious links.
Description
CVE-2024-7075 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the user search function of a management console. The function does not properly encode user input before rendering it in the browser, allowing attackers to inject malicious scripts. Exploitation can lead to browser redirection, UI manipulation, or information disclosure from the browser. The vulnerability does not allow session hijacking due to the httpOnly flag on session cookies.
