Exposed IOCTL with Insufficient Access Control in Armoury Crate driver allows a local user to read and write arbitrary PCI/PCIe configuration space via crafted IOCTL requests by bypassing the driver's verification.
Refer to the '
Security Update for Armoury Crate App' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information.
Release of Invalid Pointer or Reference in Armoury Crate driver allows a local user to free arbitrary memory via a crafted IOCTL request by bypassing the driver's verification, which can corrupt data structures and cause a system crash (BSOD).Refer to the '
Security Update for Armoury Crate App ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information.
Exposure of Sensitive System Information to an Unauthorized Control Sphere in Armoury Crate driver allows a local user to obtain kernel virtual addresses via a crafted IOCTL request by bypassing the driver's verification, potentially providing further insight into the kernel memory layout.Refer to the '
Security Update for Armoury Crate App ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information.
Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling in ASUS Armoury Crate allows a local user to cause a denial-of-service condition through system memory exhaustion by bypassing driver authentication and allocating an unrestricted amount of memory.Refer to the '
Security Update for Armoury Crate App ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information.
Exposed IOCTL with insufficient access control in ASUS Armoury Crate allows a local user to disclosure information and disabling device functionality by bypassing driver authentication and using IOCTLs to read from and write to PCIe configuration space.Refer to the '
Security Update for Armoury Crate App ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information.
Exposed Dangerous Method or Function in ASUS Armoury Crate allow a local user to cause a brief system stall by bypassing driver authentication and sending requests to trigger system management interrupts (SMIs). Repeatedly triggering SMI may lead to a denial-of-service (DoS) condition.Refer to the '
Security Update for Armoury Crate App ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information.
Improper Restriction of Software Interfaces to Hardware Features in ASUS Armoury Crate allows a local user to modify hardware configuration settings and potentially cause hardware damage by bypassing driver authentication and accessing critical model-specific registers.Refer to the '
Security Update for Armoury Crate App' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information.
Missing Authentication for Critical Function, Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), and Use of Hard-coded Credentials in ASUS Control Center allow an unauthorized user to obtain the encryption key via an HTTP request, causing a local service to enable SSH on port 2222. The attacker can then log in with the hardcode credentials to obtain a root shell, enabling direct reading, writing, and deletion of data on ASUS Control Center, as well as remote control of all servers, PCs, and workstations within the company.
Refer to the 'Security Update for ASUS Control Center' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information.
An out-of-bounds write in the SmiFlash SMM module of ASUS FA507NU and FA507NV BIOS allows a local administrator to cause a system crash (BSOD) or BIOS corruption via a crafted software SMI (SW SMI) request with an oversized length value.Refer to the '
Security Update for ASUS FA507NV / FA507NU BIOS ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information.
Untrusted Pointer Dereference in ASUS GPU Tweak III, GPUTweakII, AI Suite3, and VGAdll: An IOCTL vulnerability allows a local attacker to write a specific value to an arbitrary memory address, potentially leading to privilege escalation.
Refer to the '
Security Update for ASUS GPU Tweak III, GPU Tweak II, AI Suite 3, and Armoury Crate Security Bulletin ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information.
CVE-2026-18759 is a high-severity local privilege escalation vulnerability in ASUSTOR Inc.'s ABP (ASUSTOR Backup Plan) and AES (ASUSTOR EZSync) products. The background service runs with NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM privileges and uses a file-based IPC mechanism encrypted with AES. However, the encryption key file is accessible to standard users, allowing any authenticated local user to recover the key and forge valid IPC requests. The service also fails to verify the identity of requesting processes and uses insufficient substring checks for destination path validation. This enables attackers to perform arbitrary file reads and writes as SYSTEM, resulting in full local privilege escalation. Affected versions include ABP 2.0.7.10171 and earlier and AES 1.1.1.3113 and earlier.
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the File Explorer on the ADM. The vulnerability occurs because user-controlled input is not properly validated before being decoded and copied into a fixed-size stack buffer. An authenticated attacker can exploit this issue to cause denial of service of the affected CGI process. Further impact may be possible depending on exploitability and runtime protections.
Affected products and versions include: from ADM 4.1.0 through ADM 4.3.3.RUN1 as well as from ADM 5.0.0 through ADM 5.1.3.RI81.
A path traversal vulnerability was found in the IHM Log handling of ADM. The vulnerability occurs because user-controlled disk serial input is not sufficiently validated before being used to construct the path of an IHM log database file. An authenticated attacker can exploit this issue to cause the affected component to access an unintended filesystem path or log database file.
Affected products and versions include: from ADM 4.1.0 through ADM 4.3.3.RUN1 as well as from ADM 5.0.0 through ADM 5.1.3.RI81.
A path traversal vulnerability was found in the Wallpaper component of ADM. The vulnerability occurs because user-controlled wallpaper path input is not sufficiently validated before being used for file access. An authenticated attacker can exploit this issue to access or manipulate files outside the intended wallpaper directory, subject to user permissions and filesystem restrictions.
Affected products and versions include: from ADM 4.1.0 through ADM 4.3.3.RUN1 as well as from ADM 5.0.0 through ADM 5.1.3.RI81.
A path traversal vulnerability was found in the VPN Clients on the ADM. The vulnerability occurs because user-controlled certificate name input is not sufficiently validated before being used to construct the upload destination path. An authenticated attacker can exploit this issue to write an uploaded certificate file outside the intended VPN certificate directory, subject to process privileges and filesystem permissions.
Affected products and versions include: from ADM 4.1.0 through ADM 4.3.3.RUN1 as well as from ADM 5.0.0 through ADM 5.1.3.RI81.
