GFI MailEssentials AI versions prior to 22.4 contain a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Advanced Content Filtering rule creation workflow. An authenticated user can supply HTML/JavaScript in the ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$pv1$txtRuleName parameter to /MailEssentials/pages/MailSecurity/advancedfiltering.aspx, which is stored and later rendered in the management interface, allowing script execution in the context of a logged-in user.
GFI MailEssentials AI versions prior to 22.4 contain a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Attachment Filtering rule creation workflow. An authenticated user can supply HTML/JavaScript in the ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$pv1$TXB_RuleName parameter to /MailEssentials/pages/MailSecurity/attachmentchecking.aspx, which is stored and later rendered in the management interface, allowing script execution in the context of a logged-in user.
GFI MailEssentials AI versions prior to 22.4 contain a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Keyword Filtering rule creation workflow. An authenticated user can supply HTML/JavaScript in the ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$pv1$TXB_RuleName parameter to /MailEssentials/pages/MailSecurity/contentchecking.aspx, which is stored and later rendered in the management interface, allowing script execution in the context of a logged-in user.
The The Discussion Board – WordPress Forum Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary shortcode execution in all versions up to, and including, 2.5.5. This is due to the software allowing users to execute an action that does not properly validate a value before running do_shortcode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to execute arbitrary shortcodes.
The Widget Options – The #1 WordPress Widget & Block Control Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via multiple functions in all versions up to, and including, 4.1.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
A remote code execution vulnerability in GFI Kerio Control 9.4.5 allows attackers with administrative access to upload and execute arbitrary code through the firmware upgrade feature. The system upgrade mechanism accepts unsigned .img files, which can be modified to include malicious scripts within the upgrade.sh or disk image components. These modified upgrade images are not validated for authenticity or integrity, and are executed by the system post-upload, enabling root access.
A missing authentication vulnerability in the GFIAgent component of GFI Kerio Control 9.4.5 allows unauthenticated remote attackers to perform privileged operations. The GFIAgent service, responsible for integration with GFI AppManager, exposes HTTP services on ports 7995 and 7996 without proper authentication. The /proxy handler on port 7996 allows arbitrary forwarding to administrative endpoints when provided with an Appliance UUID, which itself can be retrieved from port 7995. This results in a complete authentication bypass, permitting access to sensitive administrative APIs.
An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in GFI Kerio Control 9.4.5 due to insecure default proxy configuration and weak access control in the GFIAgent service. The non-transparent proxy on TCP port 3128 can be used to forward unauthenticated requests to internal services such as GFIAgent, bypassing firewall restrictions and exposing internal management endpoints. This enables unauthenticated attackers to access the GFIAgent service on ports 7995 and 7996, retrieve the appliance UUID, and issue administrative requests via the proxy. Exploitation results in full administrative access to the Kerio Control appliance.
The ArchiverSpaApi ASP.NET application uses a hard-coded JWT signing key. An unauthenticated remote attacker can generate and use a verifiable JWT token to access protected ArchiverSpaApi URL endpoints.
GFI Archiver Store Service Deserialization of Untrusted Data Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of GFI Archiver. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the Store Service, which listens on TCP port 8018 by default. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in deserialization of untrusted data. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of SYSTEM. Was ZDI-CAN-24331.
GFI Archiver Telerik Web UI Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of GFI Archiver. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the product installer. The issue results from the use of a vulnerable version of Telerik Web UI. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of NETWORK SERVICE. Was ZDI-CAN-24041.
GFI Archiver Core Service Deserialization of Untrusted Data Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of GFI Archiver. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the Core Service, which listens on TCP port 8017 by default. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in deserialization of untrusted data. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of SYSTEM. Was ZDI-CAN-24029.
The Widget Options – The #1 WordPress Widget & Block Control Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.7 via the display logic functionality that extends several page builders. This is due to the plugin allowing users to supply input that will be passed through eval() without any filtering or capability checks. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to execute code on the server. Special note: We suggested the vendor implement an allowlist of functions and limit the ability to execute commands to just administrators, however, they did not take our advice. We are considering this patched, however, we believe it could still be further hardened and there may be residual risk with how the issue is currently patched.
