xrdp is an open source RDP server. Versions 0.10.6 and prior contain a vulnerability concerning the processing of Client Control PDUs. During the RDP connection sequence, the parser does not perform sufficient length validation before reading specific data fields from the network stream. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could potentially exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted, truncated Client Control PDU. Due to missing bounds checks, the xrdp process may perform out-of-bounds memory reads, which can result in the termination of the service (Denial of Service). However, since xrdp forks a new process for each connection by default, an out-of-bounds read causing a process crash is unlikely to bring down the entire xrdp service. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6.1.
xrdp is an open source RDP server. Versions 0.10.6 and prior contain a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability within the FIPS-specific receive paths. This vulnerability does not affect the default configuration of xrdp. The vulnerability is only exploitable when the security layer is set to security_layer=negotiate or security_layer=rdp, and the crypto level is changed to crypt_level=fips in xrdp.ini. In this specific non-default mode, the server fails to validate the FIPS padding length field, leading to a pointer underflow and a subsequent negative length calculation. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by sending a crafted FIPS-protected PDU, causing a heap out-of-bounds read that results in a process crash and denial of service (DoS). However, since xrdp forks a new process for each connection by default, an out-of-bounds read causing a process crash is unlikely to bring down the entire xrdp service. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6.1.
CVE-2026-26197 is a medium severity vulnerability in the HDFGroup's hdf5 library involving an out-of-bounds read triggered by corrupted array datatype metadata in HDF5 files. The issue arises when the full size of the datatype, the number of elements, and the element size do not align, which can only occur if a file has been maliciously altered. This vulnerability does not affect normal usage with unaltered files. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently available.
YAML::Syck versions before 1.47 for Perl allow an out-of-bounds read via an unbounded newline scan in newline_len.
In the bundled libsyck newline_len and is_newline dereference the scan pointer, and the following byte for a "\r\n" pair, with no NUL-terminator or bounds check. During block-scalar lexing at a document boundary the scan runs one byte past the heap lexer buffer. This is an incomplete fix of CVE-2025-11683, on a lexer path the earlier fix did not cover.
Any caller that runs Load or LoadFile on an untrusted document with a block scalar at a document boundary reaches the over-read.
YAML::Syck versions before 1.47 for Perl allow an out-of-bounds read via a signed-char lookup-table index in syck_base64dec.
The base64 decoder in the bundled libsyck indexes the 256-entry static table b64_xtable with a signed char, so any !!binary byte >= 0x80 sign-extends to a negative index and reads before the table. The decoder receives the raw bytes of any !!binary node, a standard YAML type not gated by $LoadBlessed or $LoadCode, so it is reached on the default Load path.
Any caller that runs Load or LoadFile on an untrusted document containing a !!binary scalar with a high-bit byte triggers the read, and the value read can surface in the decoded result.

rz-libdemangle is a Rizin library for demangling symbols. Prior to 6bf56d3, the Rust demangler in src/rust/rust_v0.c can perform an out-of-bounds read when the demangler structure is not yet initialized. This issue is fixed in commit 6bf56d3.
XML::Bare versions up to 0.53 for Perl contain an out-of-bounds read vulnerability due to unbounded character lookahead in the parserc_parse function. This occurs when the parser checks for multicharacter strings or element terminators without verifying buffer boundaries, allowing truncated XML strings to trigger the issue. The vulnerability has a critical severity with a CVSS score of 9.1.
HTML::Bare versions up to 0.04 for Perl contain an out-of-bounds read vulnerability due to unbounded character lookahead in the parserc_parse function. This occurs when the function checks for multicharacter strings or element terminators without verifying buffer boundaries, allowing truncated strings like "<a/" to trigger the issue. The vulnerability has a critical severity with a CVSS score of 9.1, impacting confidentiality and availability. The latest version on CPAN is 0.02, but newer versions exist in the git repository. No official patch or vendor advisory is currently available.
TDengine is a time-series database optimized for Internet of Things devices. Prior to 3.4.1.14, source/libs/parser/src/parTokenizer.c tGetToken() incremented past a trailing backslash in a SQL string literal such as 'abc\ and read one byte beyond the null terminator, allowing an authenticated user who can submit SQL queries to crash the server and possibly leak adjacent memory. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.1.14.
TDengine is a time-series database optimized for Internet of Things devices. Prior to 3.4.1.15, source/libs/transport/src/transComm.c transDecompressMsg() read STransCompMsg.contLen when pHead->comp == 1 without first validating that the RPC packet contained the 8-byte STransCompMsg structure, causing an unauthenticated out-of-bounds read, uncontrolled allocation, integer underflow, and server crash. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.1.15.
The Zephyr ADIN2111/ADIN1110 10BASE-T1S/T1L Ethernet driver (drivers/ethernet/eth_adin2111.c) reassembles received Ethernet frames in OPEN Alliance (OA) SPI mode by copying device-supplied 64-byte data chunks into a fixed static buffer ctx->buf of size CONFIG_ETH_ADIN2111_BUFFER_SIZE (default 1524 bytes). In eth_adin2111_oa_data_read(), each valid chunk was memcpy'd into ctx->buf[ctx->scur] and the write cursor scur advanced, with no check that scur + len stayed within the buffer. The number of chunks (up to 255, from the BUFSTS RCA field) and the per-chunk length are taken entirely from the frame data received off the wire; the cursor is only reset on a start-of-frame chunk. An attacker on the single-pair Ethernet segment can therefore send a frame whose reassembled size exceeds the configured buffer, causing the driver's RX offload thread to write attacker-controlled frame bytes past the end of the static buffer into adjacent driver/kernel memory (up to roughly 14.8 KB in the worst case). This is a remotely/adjacently reachable out-of-bounds write (CWE-787) that can corrupt memory and cause denial of service or potentially code execution. The defect was introduced when OA SPI support was added (commit 0ca8b0756b1) and shipped in releases v3.7.0 through v4.4.0. The fix adds a bounds check that drops the oversized frame and resets the cursor before the copy.
When NGINX Plus is configured to use the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) filter module (ngx_stream_mqtt_filter_module), unauthenticated attackers can send requests with conditions beyond the attacker's control to cause a heap buffer over-read in the NGINX worker process, leading to a restart.
Impact:
This vulnerability may allow remote unauthenticated attackers to have limited control to restart the NGINX worker process. There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
Out-of-bounds Read in ASUS System Control Interface v3, ASUS System Control Interface, and ASUS Business Manager allows a local administrator to read memory regions beyond the intended firmware boundary by supplying a crafted IOCTL request that bypasses the validation.

Media Encoder is affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability that could lead to disclosure of sensitive memory. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to disclose sensitive information. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
A heap buffer over-read vulnerability was discovered in libsoup's (versions: libsoup 3.0 to 3.7.0) HTTP/2 connection tracking framework. When the library processes an HTTP/2 GOAWAY frame, it improperly handles the "Additional Debug Data" payload by assuming the data stream is a safely NUL-terminated C-string. Because the parser lacks strict length-boundary verification before reading this data, a remote, unauthenticated attacker can intentionally send a malformed GOAWAY frame missing the appropriate null delimiter. This causes the library to read past the end of the allocated buffer, triggering an application crash that results in a denial of service (DoS), or potentially exposing fragments of memory contents.
