0 CVE-2026-93657 affects hickory-resolver versions before 0.26.2 and involves improper verification of cryptographic signatures in DNSSEC validation. The resolver fails to propagate bogus DNSSEC proof states through its lookup APIs, allowing invalid DNS records to be accepted as valid.
